Infantil pavillion

C.P. Villar Palasi, Valencia. 2008

The parti consists on optimizing the site to get the most out of it considering its small dimension as well as its privilege location inside the beautiful garden of Los Viveros in the center of the city. A new entrance is opened to the pavilion allowing a direct connection to the street and to the secondary entrance to the main existing building. The floor plan gets redistributed to improve its functionality.
The new entrance to the pavilion leads to a main hall from where all the classrooms are accessed. New finishes are provided in every room besides recovering the original section of the classrooms by demolishing the old roof which was remade with flat red clay tiles on an insulating wooden panel with exposed finish. All the interiors have been fully redesigned as well as the exterior playground area which was leveled up.
